Evangel Men's Basketball ranked 21st nationally



The Evangel University men’s basketball is ranked 21st nationally in the NAIA-I preseason coaches’ poll. The Crusaders return four starters and six lettermen from last season’s 24-10 squad that made the NAIA-I national tournament and advanced to the round of 16.

Defending Heart of America conference champion MidAmerica Nazarene is ranked 16th in the nation. Evangel and MNU are the only two HAAC teams ranked in the preseason poll. Baker received votes for the top 25.

The Crusaders open the season on Thursday, Nov. 1 at Robert Morris (Ill.) in Chicago. Evangel’s first home game is Monday, Nov. 5 against College of the Ozarks.
