Drury's Hall named GLVC Player of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS, In. -- Drury University senior guard Alex Hall has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office Monday.  Hall recorded a pair of 30-point games this past week while helping the Panthers to a two-game lead in the GLVC West Division.

In Thursday's 90-75 win over Missouri-St. Louis, Hall netted 30 points on 10-of-12 (.833) shooting, which included an impressive 6-of-7 (.857) from beyond the arc.  He also added a pair of rebounds, two assists, one steal and a block in 33 minutes of play.

Hall also shined in Drury's 86-64 victory over Maryville on Saturday, a matchup that featured the West's top-two teams.  The Springfield, Mo., native scored his second-consecutive 30-point game, this time on 9-of-17 (.529) shooting from the field and 8-of-16 (.500) from the perimeter.  In 33 minutes of play, Hall contributed four rebounds, and an assist to his stat line.

On the week, Hall averaged 30 points on 19-of-29 (.655) shooting, which included 14-of-23 (.609) from three-point land.

This is the third career weekly award for Hall, who was first recognized by the league on Nov. 23, 2009 and then honored on Dec. 10, 2012.

Drury (17-4, 11-2 GLVC) hits the road this week for West Division matchups against Quincy (10-11, 5-8) on Thursday and Illinois Springfield (6-15, 4-9) on Saturday.
