Carl Junction beats Lamar with hook and lateral in final 10 seconds





Class 2 No. 1 Lamar and Class 4 No. 8 Carl Junction did not disappoint on Friday as Carl Junction came out with a 50-46 win to take control of the Big 8.

Lamar was down by as many as 21 points at 27-6, but fought back.

In the fourth quarter the game went back and fourth as Lamar took a 46-43 lead with 47 seconds to go.

Carl Junction then dug deep into the playbook sitting on the Lamar 48 yard line with 10 seconds left.

Tanner McMurty hauled in a short pass and threw a lateral to a streaking Kenyan Scheurich who went down the sideline for the touchdown and the win.
