Arkansas falls to Ole Miss

Heartbreak on Markham, again.

Bryson Rose's 27-yard field goal with no time remaining led the Ole Miss Rebels (5-3, 2-3) to a 30-27 victory Saturday over the Arkansas Razorbacks (3-5, 2-3).  Arkansas' finished its Little Rock slate of games without a victory for the first season since 1993.

Arkansas jumped out early to a 10-0 lead on the strong arm of quarterback Tyler Wilson.  Wilson found tight-end Chris Gragg for a 42-yard touchdown pass.  It was Gragg's first action since the Rutgers game in September.

The Rebels fought their way back in the second-quarter.  Quarterback Bo Wallace found Vince Sanders for a four-yard touchdown pass.  Barry Brunetti added a one-yard run.  Jeff Scott's three-yard touchdown run made it 21-17 just before the half.

The Razorbacks offense struggled throughout much of the second-half.  Ole Miss built a 27-20 lead late into the fourth-quarter.   Wilson and the Razorbacks offense woke up.  The Hogs drove 55 yards on four plays.  Wilson hit senior receiver Cobi Hamilton for two catches.  Dennis Johnson did the rest, rushing for a five-yard touchdown run.  Wilson finished 24of-43 for 297 yards and two touchdowns.  The senior threw two interceptions.

Ole Miss finished Arkansas on the final drive of the game.  Wallace ed the Rebels down the field for 61 yards in 2:09.  The drive set up Rose, who hit the game-winning field goal with no time remaining.

Johnson finished with a career-high 161 yards for Arkansas.  Cobi Hamilton added a dozen catches for 146 yards.
Arkansas returns to Fayetteville Saturday for its homecoming date against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane.  Kickoff is at 11:21 a.m.
