MSHSAA announced in a release that they will be using digital ticketing for all state championship events this fall. In the same release, they announced there are currently going to be admission limits for all venues hosting MSHSAA Championships except girls golf and the outdoor portions of girls tennis.

Spectator limits will align with local health orders according to MSHSAA Communications Director Jason West.

Distribution of the tickets for team state events will be handled as follows: “Each school will be distributed a number of digital tickets based on the allowable occupancy for the venue. There will be a deadline for the school to sell its allotment, once that deadline has passed any leftover tickets may be purchased. The participating school may develop its own distribution procedure,” West said in an email.

The release said individual sports such as tennis, golf and cross country will conduct their sales through the MSHSAA website.

Since any limitations are subject to local health orders, things could change prior to the event.

FULL RELEASE:

Columbia, Mo.- The Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) has partnered with HomeTown Ticketing (HTT) to serve as the official digital ticketing partner. Digital ticketing will be used for all state championship events, and is an option for all other playoff contests, at the discretion of the host manager.

For the championship sites this fall, all ticket sales will be digital. “By utilizing this technology at our championship sites,” said MSHSAA Executive Director Dr. Kerwin Urhahn, “we can have a totally touchless experience at the gate for both our spectators and our workers. No money has to be traded, no tickets have to be torn. This will add another layer of safety for everyone attending the event.”

Currently, all venues hosting MSHSAA Championship events have admission limitations, except for the final sites for Girls Golf and the outdoor portions of Girls Tennis. For team sports, the digital ticket sales will be through the participating schools. For individual sports such as tennis, golf, and cross country, spectators may purchase tickets from the MSHSAA website.
