Parkview will look to improve after posting back-to-back one-win seasons behind the leadership of seniors Delaney Stanley and Lauren Hoaglin.

Stanley will be in competition with sophomores Kaylee George and Isabel Vergara for time at pitcher. Hoaglin will be behind the plate at catcher.

The rest of the lineup will be filled out by a host of new players.

“We have a lot of new, young players, so both our infield and outfield positions are all up for grabs,” Parkview head softball coach Ted Orcutt said.

Parkview opens the season on Aug. 28 at home against Waynesville.

“Our players have good, hardworking attitudes,” Orcutt said. “I expect our team to improve as the year progresses.”
