Dixon posted a 17-9 record last year to secure the program’s first winning season in six years. First-team all-conference selection Trey Holzer and his 20.5 points per game return. He also pulled down 6.7 rebounds per game.
Shannon Kampeter and Clayton Sinden also are returning starters. Sinden averaged 6.5 PPG, while Kampeter added in 3 PPG. CJ Thiltgen, Emilio Acosta and Will Shelton all saw significant varsity time last year. Thiltgen led that group with six points per game.
Junior Alex Easterling and sophomore Jayden Roam are newcomers to watch for Dixon.
“(We) have a lot of talent back from last season. (We) had a good season last year finishing 17-9, but could have been better if we could have closed out games with five of our losses coming by a total of seven points. We have to play with more urgency and discipline this year to get where we want to go. If these things happen I expect to have a very successful season,” Dixon head coach Steve Scholfield said.
