Macks Creek returns a strong core of players from last year’s 15-10 squad entering coach Lynn Long’s second season at Macks Creek but 41st season as a head coach.

Jesse Willis leads that group in her senior year after averaging 13.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 3.1 steals per game last year.

“She is a very aggressive and competitive player who likes to drive and also shoots a lot from long range,” Long said. “She is a very good offensive rebounder. I expect her to be a good team leader and to set a good example for our younger players.”

Classmate Caytlin Eidson also is back after putting up 11.3 points per game and pulling down 7.2 rebounds per game.

Mackenzie Hicks was the team’s third-leading scorer as a sophomore and brings back averages of 9.1 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. Alyssa Seaholm rounds out the top returning players after she averaged 8 PPG as a sophomore.

“I think our overall experience will be a strength as well as our speed, defense and outside shooting,” Long said. “We need to improve our execution of our half-court offense and become better shooters.”

Macks Creek opens the season on Nov. 22 at Weableau.
