Three years ago, when Caitlin Harrier was 14 years old, she had already broken over 50 World Records in powerlifting.

“She just kept breaking records every time she’d go to a meet,” said her dad, Tom Harrier.

This July, at 16, she became the youngest person, boy or girl to break 100 World Records. She’s now 17 and has 102.
Caitlin started powerlifting when she was eight years old, learning from her dad who’s been powerlifting for 40 years.

“I still set World Records myself, I still hold several bench press records in several federations in my age group and weight class, but again, it’s more about them,” said Tom.

For Kaitlin, powerlifting is a family affair, something she, her brother Nolan, and her dad enjoy doing together.

“I think just being able to go different places and compete with my family, I think that’s the most important aspect of it,” said Caitlin.

But breaking world records is kind of fun too.

“In December there’s a competition in Harrison, Arkansas, and hopefully I’ll be able to break more records there,” Caitlin said.
