Parkview softball has posted back-to-back 11-win seasons, but the Lady Vikings must replace all three of their all-conference selections from last season.

“Parkview graduated five experienced players last year,” head coach Ted Orcutt said. “Fortunately, our underclassmen are players who know how to compete and are willing to work hard. Our expectation is the same as every year. ‘Play the game right and let the scoreboard take care of itself.’”

The pitching duties will be split between sophomore Delaney Stanley and junior newcomer MyKayla Battershell. Both are new to pitching but have been working hard in the offseason to learn the position.

Catching duties will be split among two players as well with Lauren Hoaglin and Maycie Smart.

Junior Sierra Chilson and sophomore Delaney Stanley return to start in the outfield. Lexie Schneider will play third and second while athletic junior Alyah Cagle will see time at shortstop. Senior Abriel Sees has been working to transfer to first base this season.

Parkview will face Kickapoo and Glendale in a preseason jamboree this year. The Lady Vikings will open the season on Aug. 24 & 25 in the Morrisville Tournament. They will open Ozark Conference play on Aug. 28 at Glendale.
