Valley Springs sophomore Lawson Jenkins seems like your average player. But, in a lot of ways he’s far from the norm.
“He’s gotten taller since the season started. He was about 6’4 1/2″ in October, and he’s pushing 6’6″ right now,” said head coach Blake Hanney.
Jenkins is averaging about 25 points a game; he has a nice shot, and a lot of good genes.
“I just kind of naturally got it. My mom played at the University of Arkansas, so it’s just natural for me. I just love playing the game,” said Jenkins. “I want to win a state championship, and I’d really like to go on and play college basketball somewhere.”
