SPRINGFIELD — Missouri State is preparing to enter a Missouri Valley Conference without Wichita State for the first time.
The Bears enter their seventh season under Paul Lusk with new expectations, returning five of their six top scorers from last year, including All-MVC First Team selection Alize Johnson.
Lusk and players discussed their potential selection as the MVC preseason favorites and their own expectations for the season on Thursday.
MSU hosts Southwest Baptist for its opening exhibition at JQH Arena on Nov. 1.
