When it comes to sports, uniforms are a pretty big deal.

This is something I figured out at a young age. Why? Because even when you go 0-for-3 with a walk in seven out of 10 little league games, if you have those socks high when trotting down to first, you’re the star. It’s like a fashion show with only you, just ask Deion Sanders. Look good, feel good, play good. Proper English? No. Proper lifestyle? Yes.

From short shorts to stirrups to visors to arm sleeves only being used because they make the uniform pop a little more, jerseys and their design have been a part of sports for as long as there have been sports. There’s even a wonderful website dedicated to their history called Uni Watch.

That brings us to this bracket. (Click here to zoom in on the bracket). After returning from Columbia last week, Justin Sampson and myself decided that the O-Zone needed a bracket for March Madness season. After six seconds of discussion on Facebook Messenger, we settled on this. The best uniforms in the Ozarks. The 64 uniforms were chosen by us and only us. Feel free to complain, but don’t complain too hard, because opportunity lies ahead! This is a true polls poll. Sure, you’ll vote for your own school, but with 64 options, we should end up getting a pretty good and honest take of where the best uniform truly lies. (Plus, there may be a new 1 Awards award lying in waiting for the winner.)
