SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State men’s basketball coach Paul Lusk announced Saturday (Jan. 7) that junior guard Ronnie Rousseau III is expected to miss additional time away from the team due to personal reasons.

“Ronnie has asked for some time away to deal with some personal things,” Lusk explained. “I want to make it absolutely clear that he’s done nothing wrong on or off the court, and is in good academic standing. He’s been a joy to coach and work with since the day he joined the program, and he is very much a valuable part of our team. We will embrace him and support him during this time and ask our fans to do the same.”

Rousseau has been out of action for most of the past week with a minor ankle injury. His absence from the team is not related to the injury.

He has started all 14 games he had played in and is second on the team in scoring at 11.6 points per game.
