Tuesday morning at Bass Pro’s White River Conference Center, the Bass Pro Tournament of Champions announced its bracket for the 33rd annual event at JQH Arena Jan. 12-14. The Kickapoo Chiefs, making their 18th appearance, open against perennial national-power Montverde Academy from Florida on Thursday at 8:00 pm.

The Chiefs beat Bolivar in the 7th place game last year and return five of their eight players who saw action in that game. Rippee feels confident in his group led by Xavier signee Jarred Ridder and Navy signee Cam Davis, but says they need to play like a team better than last year.
