SPRINGFIELD – Days after making her collegiate debut, Drury University women’s swimmer Bailee Nunn was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Swimmer of the Week and the NCAA-II National Women’s Swimmer of the Week by CollegeSwimming.com.
Nunn, a freshman from Marshfield, Missouri, won each her three events in Drury’s duel against the University of Arkansas last Friday. Nunn won the 100 butterfly (54.19), the 100 breaststroke (1:02.37) and the 200 IM (2:01.84) and was responsible for 27 of Drury’s 77 points in the meet. All three of Nunn’s times rank her among the top 13 in each of the three events across all divisions of college swimming.
Nunn and the Drury women’s swimming & diving team head to Alaska this weekend for their next competition. The Panthers take on Alaska-Fairbanks on Friday and Saturday in Fairbanks, Alaska.
