For only the 3rd time in program history, the Southwest Baptist University football program has received votes in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division II Coaches' Poll as released by the organization today.

The Bearcats received five votes in the AFCA Coaches' Poll, and are one of two GLVC schools to receive votes in the poll.

SBU is coming off of a 31-28 road victory over Tarleton State after defeating Eastern New Mexico 49-35 last week.
